Wot no Panzer 2!

Next project will be a 'classic' Tamiya Panther A.

Lots of detail to be added from the Eduard photoetch...

...and the appalling tracks replaced with Bronco workable items.

Haven't decided on the figures or setting yet but probably be Tamiya ammo loaders.

'Winter is Coming' - Finished.

'Winter is Coming' - Finished. After the usual weathering techniques were done everything was glued into position and baking powder was used as the snow.

I decided to add a bit of life in the form of fire - I used a cheap tealight candle underneath the base and a couple of bits of orange sweet wrapper for the flames - I think it works quite well.

As usual I made a quick dust cover to protect all the work.

Nearly There...

I used the Miniart 'German soldiers - winter 41-42' to tell the story.
Nice 'cold' looking characters, I thought they looked small but they make the Panzer 2 look bigger so hey ho.

Painting was simple - field grey greatcoats and flesh so quite quick to paint.

All of the elements are test fitted into position to make sure the story works. In this case as 'winter is coming' the soldiers have started to whitewash their tank but as the temperature drops and the snow has started to fall they have abandoned their orders in favour of a warm fire and a hot meal!
